Cop or Wait 8/18 – 8/24

Air Max Hyperposite “Tropical Teal”

hyperposite-tropical-teal-1

The Air Max Hyperposite releases on 8/24 for $225. Even though I think this is a great colorway, I would wait to cop.  Every general release Hyperposite have hit the Nike Outlets (cheapest I’ve seen at $63).  Unfortunately, Hyperposites take forever before retail stores start discounting them. I would say $160 and under is the ideal price to buy them.

Air Jordan 3 QS “Fear Pack”

The Air Jordan 3 “Fear Pack” drops this weekend 8/24 for $175. This is the first Air Jordan that has the new Jordan MSRP. The Jordan 3 is nearly as limited as the Jordan V in the pack. Most stores will have 1.5 – 3 sizes runs of this shoe (pending the location). So if you want this shoe then this is a must cop right now. I predict the aftermarket price will be settling around $250-$275 post release.  If you see anything over $300 try to wait it out till it reaches the aforementioned price levels.

Air Jordan 4 QS “Fear Pack”

The Air Jordan 4 “Fear Pack” (my favorite out the pack) is set to retail for $175. This shoe will be more readily available than the rest of the pack. Even though it is more available, it’s still a quickstrike (QS) none the less so this is a must buy on release if you are interested in the shoe.  I predict the aftermarket will settle around $225-$250 after the first wave of resellers. Champs,Footaction,Footlocker, RuVIlla, Nike and a few others stores will have this shoe. Good Luck!

Air Jordan 5 QS “Fear Pack”

The most popular shoe in the pack, the Air Jordan V, has a retail price of $160. This shoe is very limited and is mainly released at Niketowns (not online) , House of Hoops, select Finishlines and a couple other select Jordan Brand stores. The only way you are getting this shoe is if you hard body camp or get lucky & win a raffle.  I hope I’m wrong when I say this, but I predict this shoe will cost you at minimum $300 in the aftermarket. Personally, I don’t see this shoe costing more than the hard to get Air Jordan 1 “Royals”. If you want this shoe, try your best to get them or be prepared to pay double for a pair after release.

Kobe 8 ” Graffiti”

The Kobe 8 Graffiti is set to release 8/24 with everything else this week. No one is talking about this shoe but the Kobes been a great seller this past NBA season. Other than a few outlet b-grades, there hasn’t been a single colorway in this model  for under retail. This particular colorway might not sell out on day one but it will disappear from shelves within 30 days. I would say don’t cop this week if you are planning to get the Fear pack but not sleep on the shoe and wait too long if you really want them.
