Mike’s Nike x Doernbecher Air Max 95 to return

Nike have unveiled the first of the 5 Doernbecher Freestyle re-releases scheduled for this year’s 10th anniversary of their teaming up with the childrens hospital and charity. First to return will be the Air Max 95 first released in 2007 and designed by Mike Armstrong. Mike’s design is very patriotic as his older brother was at the time serving in Iraq.

The upper on this design features elements from the American flag as well as Mike’s logo of a heart, cross and wings on the tongue. Due to release 7/6 priced at $140, these will be available from NDC via a twitter link only, and from Nike stores such as NIKETOWN New York, Nike Georgetown, Nike Chicago, Nike Roosevelt Field, Nike Portland, Nike San Francisco, Nike Dallas, NIKETOWN Los Angeles, Nike Lenox and Nike Las Vegas. They will be limited to 1 per customer and come in sizes 7-12, 13, 14 and 15

How do you feel about the first of the 5 DB re-releases this year? Was this one of the shoes you wanted to see return? Let us know in the comments below.
