Nikestore: A Few Tricks for Releases and Restocks

Something I see every Saturday is people complaining over missing a release on due to the product being sold out. Tweets like, “All the hypebeasts were out this morning!” or “These Nike servers are trash. How could a multi-billion dollar company be this bad?!” I’ve been guilty of this, along with most other sneaker collectors. In this article I will do my best to help teach you how to get an advantage for releases. I have done everything here and have had a 75%+ success rate on everything.

RELEASE METHOD 1: This was the most effective way of getting every release before Nike caught on to it. It is still possible to use but not on every single release like it was before. What you do is

1. Find the product code of the shoe you are looking to purchase. (I.e. Lebron 10 Windchilll is 598360-400)

2. Go to and in the search box enter the code at 7:58-7:59.

3. It should be up by then but sometimes the hold out til exactly 8:00. Luckily, the links are rarely tweeted at 8:00 but they do pop up on the site at exactly 8:00 AM EST.

4. Get the shoe, check out, ba bing, ba bam, you win.

The reason this works so well is because it is up on the site before it is tweeted. Unfortunately, Nike caught on to this and now for some shoes do “Tweet Link Only” meaning you will only be able to purchase it through the tweeted link due to it being hidden on the Nike website. This first took place at the Air Jordan 6/7 Retro Gold Medal Package. Before that, I was able to scoop up the “What The Kobe” Kobe 7, “Scoring Title” KDIV, Lebron 9 “Galaxy”, and many many more this year. It works almost 100% of the time, but Nike has cracked down on it.

RELEASE METHOD 2: This method is a bit more difficult and only works about 75% of the time, but it wouldn’t hurt to know. I found this out from a friend one afternoon and I’ve only used it 4 times and got 3 of the 4. This is for the TWEET ONLY releases. Follow the steps below.

Step 1: Go to and sign into your Nike account. Do this at or before 7:50 to give yourself a little bit of time.

Step 2: Add something, anything, to your cart. Go to checkout and fill in your shipping information, credit card information, and billing information. Click “Next Step” on the page.

Step 3: You will then have it on “Order Preview.” DO NOT CLICK FINISH. What you do is go to a new tab or page and open up the Nike website again. Go to your cart and take out whatever you happened to put in there.

Step 4: Log into twitter and wait for @Nikestore to tweet their link. Act QUICKLY and get that shoe in your cart. I repeat, QUICKLY. Once it’s in your cart go to your original tab or screen that has your Order Preview there. Click check out, but make sure you only have the new release you want in your cart and not that release and the original thing you added to your cart.

Step 5: You are now checked out on Nikestore and should get an email confirmation soon with the item you purchased.

I’ve gotten the Lebron 10 “Gold Medal”, KD IV “Gold Medal”, and Air Max 90 Hyperfuse “Infrared” with this method. I missed out on the Air Jordan 6/7 Retro “Golden Moments Package”. This doesn’t really help you get it in your cart but it does make sure if it does get in there you will get the shoe. I know it’s not the best but it’s all I have for you guys.

HOW TO GET SILENT RESTOCKS: Silent restocks constantly make people rip their hair out due to the fact they missed it. I used to be like that but realized how I could be the first to know. I managed to get 6 KD IV “Scoring Title’s” this way (all sold well below market value) and 2 “South Beach” Lebron Elite 9’s for $200 this way. What you do is look up, “KD 4, Lebron 9, Lebron 10, Jordan, Kobe 7, Foamposites, etc. etc.” in the search bar. Sometimes, like with the Golden Moments Package, they’ll do it silently through the Twitter Link. So if you happen to come upon something by just searching act fast and notify your close friends. If not, don’t give up hope. Go click on the links through the @Nikestore previous tweets and see if anything happens to pop up.

I know this isn’t going to make sure you get everything, but hopefully it has helped you all enough to where you get a release you might not have at first. Thanks for reading and if this works for you like it does me, please let me know.
